Don't Call It A Comeback
So. It's taken me two weeks, but I'm proud to say that I have visited every bar in Boyne City. And I did it all in one night. That, ladies and gentlemen, is how I roll.
What? You were expecting a nice, long post about the big move, and how wonderful it is living with my totally awesome boyfriend, and all the romantic things we've been doing? Tough shit. I meant to do a post when we first got here, and I even had the last paragraph -- which included this closing sentence: "And then Chris gazed at me lovingly and said, 'You know, I really need to get an axe," -- composed in my head, but I just never got to it.
Instead, join me on a tour of the Boyne City bar scene. . .
PS: You have to click on that little talking bubble icon (second from the left) for my informative captions to appear with each photo.

Good to see you settling into Michigan's favorite pastime. I thought it was funny that the bar you LOVED the most is when you were the drunkest. That's something I would write.
Interesting.
I guess there is nothing left to do there now?
awesome pics, I really felt like I experienced Boyne City with you.
I think you should add pics of Chris dancing though.
Thanks for the tour. Amy's right, you probably should have paced yourself.
It all looks so tasty.
You are a good photographer! And even more impressive as the night wears on... :)
And hey, congratufreakinglations!
I'll all end in tears, I just know it...
Thanks for the tour!
I'm thirsty.
Is this some sort of comeback? Labatt Blue, shoulda had a Molson Canadian and then let Chris finish that.
It's critical to know where the bars are. Screw all the other establishments.
Hmm, that reminds me. I think I want a beer.
The last time I saw Chris with an axe, he was chopping down small trees at a friend's cabin in Michigan after said axe nearly decapitated one of our friends.
So I might hold off on that.
Kristi - That seriously was the best bar though. At least from what I remember.
Amy - Apparently we missed one bar. Damnit! Now we have to do it all over again.
Valerie - Unfortunately Chris wasn't really dancing. I made that part up.
Flannery - Yeah, if only to avoid puking!
Grant - Easy for you to say, you didn't have to drink that Labatt's Blue.
WT - Thanks! :-)
Orange - Way to think positive, buddy.
Bubs - Would you care for a Labatt's Blue?
Dale - Molson Canadian is Chris's at-home beer.
Catherinette - So true!
TenS - It's good to pick a certain drink and stick with it for the duration.
Geo - Plus I think he was thinking of hacking me to death with it, so yeah.
Megan, where are you?? it's too quiet!!
Wow, Megan. I can not believe I haven't been by in so long that I just read this!! Looked like a great night. Your pictures were perfect.
"...get an axe" - you guys belong together. That's funny!!
now you can tour all the great bars up and down the coast from Mackinaw down to Grand Haven and even further south. enjoy.
