Free For All

In the interest of fairness, here is where I live:

In the apartment building, not the beautiful house with the wrap-around porch next door. Feel free to make fun of it. I'll start: um, it's across the street from a parking lot. . .how charming.

There's no moat.

And there's about eight thousand different Granby Streets.

It's all the same Granby Street, you dumbass! But I'm sorry you got lost the last time you visited. I give MUCH better directions now.

Ah, yes, the parking lot that I know well (we waited there for hours when my car battery had died). Lovely view, really.

But there are some awesome restaurants within walking distance - which is SO COOL. :)

I think the worst that can be said is that it's utilitarian.

Where's the whimsy? I mean, would it have killed the designer to put in a cupola, or a turret or two, or at least a freakin corbel???

Hey, parking's a commodity in Ghent. You should feel really lucky. Your front door is somewhat Tudor styled.

Noonan: Some of us actually waited INSIDE, you big goof. I have a kick-ass view of that parking lot out my living room windows.

Vikki: There's a fire escape in the back. Does that count as whimsical?

Meaghan: Parking IS a commodity, which helps to explain why my car is a hell of a lot more banged up than a 1.5 year old car should be.

Maybe Brian can hook you up with a plastic flamingo for that touch of "whimsy".

I'm getting to know about you guys way too much that now I can make references like that. Don't feel creeped out, I'm feeling that enough for all of us...

I WISH I lived in a neighborhood that looked this clean. I HATE where I live; the people have absolutely no pride.
