To All The Ladies Feminists In The House

If you enjoy reading (who doesn't?!) and are interested in women's issues (who isn't?!), I highly recommend The Girls Who Went Away: The Hidden History of Women Who Surrendered Children for Adoption in the Decades Before Roe v. Wade. This book will simultaneously break your heart and make you angry. It will also remind you to be vigilant about efforts to return us to the dark days when women received almost no sex education beyond an exhortation to abstinence, had little access to birth control -- especially if they were unmarried, and could not safely or legally terminate their pregnancies. Read it! And be vigilant!

OK.
1)While your message says one thing (this book is for anyone), the title of this entry (To All the Ladies in the House) says another thing (LADIES ONLY).
So, I'm a little disapointed. I think a more appropriate title would have been, "To All the Feminists In the House." Because I am feminist, but not a lady.
Oh, and PS, haha, my initials, but seriously, I am thinking of taking over Colby's Women's Group because if I don't, it won't exist and that would be a tradgedy. I already have some really great event ideas.
Oh how I miss 6th period,
Patrick :)

I'm changing the title as we speak. It's just that you never hear "to all the feminists in the house" in a rap song, you know?

A Women's Group coup? I highly approve.

And I miss 6th period too. Any chance you'll make it to the homecoming football game? Yeah, me neither. How 'bout coffee?

And Patrick, you HAVE to read this book. It's amazing. On top of that, you will like it.

Hopefully we carry it in our really forward thinking and kick-ass bookstore here on campus.
Oh man. You neeeeeeed to come to Maine. We have this great coffee shop that sells coffee and wine! I mean, can it really get better?
I won't even be back in VA until Thanksgiving. Sad, I know.
The guy I've been dating does admissions for Conn. College. He is going to go to Robinson. I told him to hit up Vu and Noonan. If you were there, you would really like him.
OK, I need to go to bed.
Patrick :)
